ABOUT RYAN

​My name is Ryan Jans. I was born with Cerebral Palsy, a physical limitation. In 2019 I went off to college, and was on my own for the first time. Having a physical disability, I faced hardships that most of my fully abled peers did not. One of those hardships was putting on shoes.
I was saddened to find out of the hundreds of shoe reviewers online, none of them were like me, differently abled. So, I made my own shoe reviews, focused on accessibility and ease of entry. I started Ryan’s Shoes Reviews in May of 2020. Then in May of 2021, I became an author for WearTesters. All of my reviews will be from an everyday wear point of view, unless stated otherwise.
Outside of reviewing shoes, I am a massive football (soccer) fan and my favorite team is Manchester United. And, I study history at the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater.
